Our scope of work only included the planting design for this courtyard, which was a challenge to design, with three very different areas (soils & light conditions), in clay soil & on one irrigation zone! The City wanted to highlight this small courtyard attached to a historic building turned event venue in the center of downtown. With a need to provide changing seasonal interest, habitat for pollinators, & the requirement to include as many native plants as possible. We consistently hear that it is one of the most enjoyable spaces in the urban center!
